Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death/ I speak these words on hip-hops behalf..even though there's nothing left

Today, I went to school cuz' you know that's what kids do. But anyways, i get on the bus and these three guys were talking about 'rap' and who's hot or what not. So I start off listening. One ear's focused on them and the other on my music (At the time i was listening to And Me Made This Song), so finally i hear "Gucci Mane is hella raw nigga! What is you sayin'?" In my mind i'm like wtf? Gucci SUCKS! All this guy has to offer is some kush and maybe a couple of dope beats. So Me being the opinionated and one who loves to debate i jump in and throw my two cents around. Guy is like man Gucci live in the hood! He hard ya-di-ya-di-ya-di. I'm like dude. Just cuz' a guy sounds hood doesn't mean he is hood. You know what i mean? Like it's really true that rappers are over-rated based off this bullshit thats in my ear. And then i thought what does living in the hood have to do with him being raw? Like that has NOTHING to do with what we're saying. And he was like he can relate to me. I immediatly stopped him and go Bullshit! This guy lives in an apartment complex in West County St. Louis..How the HELL does that relate to you? Right..it doesn't. Kick rocks lol.



That brings me to my point. Rappers don't give you enough information to the point that you really know who these cats are yo. I mean i don't understand why rappers lie for a couple bucks when that's not what they're here in this business for. You're hear to spit your point make your difference or whatever you wanna call it and get the fuck out the booth...right? But there is no point in hip-hop anymore. For example, I asked the guy who was ridin' Gucci's nuts well spit me a hot Gucci line that has nothing to do with drugs (cuz' that's just about all this guy has to say) and of course to prove my point he says i can't cuz' i listen to the beat. Sooo how is he raw if you aren't listening to the lyrics and at that how does he understand your 'situation' if all you listen to is the beat? So of course i claimed myself the winner and told him to quit talking to me because from that point there was no way you were gonna persuade me that this guy is hot. No way. And it's not even like my mindset was set on proving that my music was better or anything. I just wanted to point out the fact that today's hip-hop literally has no purpose and shows only one true charcteristic: selfish-ness. Period.
