Lately, I've found myself on forums at about 12-3 in the morning debating about the best rapper alive. I want people to know my opinions I guess. I've come down to my top two G.O.A.Ts (Greatest of all Time):
1.)Nas
2.)Lupe Fiasco.
Why? Simply because you come face-to-face with creative minds&lyrical genius. They both have come out with legendary albums (Illmatic, The Cool) and above all, they are two of the only rappers I know (besides Charles Hamilton) who haven't dumb-downed to the commercialization of the Hip-Hop industry...yet. Nas has been in the game over a decade&he remains consistent. Lupe hasn't been in the game too long but in an interview he states(and i quote),
"I don't mind being the positive rapper...".That's amazing to be able to walk away from record sales&easy $$$ just to spit the truth...real shit. Now, I feel that my accusations are right...but then again, you have people out here who think WAYNE is the best&Jay-Z (who I feel is over-rated). But these two artists (Wayne&Jay) have dumbed down to the industry even though Jay is one of the very few who shaped it...
Now...who's the best?
On another note, I figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I either want to be an English teacher or be a marketing/advertising executive within the music industry. That would be awesome...simple because it suits me&who I am. I quit basketball...i made my decesion. I'm officially done. I guess, I just lost my passion for it. Now, i gotta start working out&what not. But anyways, I'm ready to get a move on in my future. Now all I have to do is figure out who's coming along for the ride...
Me&Alex are doing good! We have our little kiddy arguments every now&then but we are okay. He's amazing&he just seems to understand me for the most part(which most people don't know how to do).
